Summary
Surprisingly, Trudge isn’t much of a threat. It moves around the map incredibly slowly, waiting for you to stand before it so it can use its bent neck to swing and hit you. The Trudge can easily one-shot you if you’re careless. Its hammer-like weapon has a magnetized effect that pulls you towards it. Rough estimate of its effect radius is approximately two to three meters from where his weapon hits the ground.
Behavior
It is by far the slowest entity in the game, and you can hear where it is because it drags behind itself a mace as it walks, making a constant stone grinding sound that can be heard through walls.
If it spots a player, it will unleash a huge shock wave that pulls all players within line of sight towards it. This by itself does not usually do enough damage to kill, but it will follow up shortly with a bash attack, which instakills and has a large area of effect.
Survival Tips
- This entity is incredibly easy to avoid. Just move into another room and continue exploring,
- As long as you stay on the side of it where its neck isn’t looking, you can actually crouch-walk beside him.
- Use furniture to get around it and remain crouched to avoid alerting it to your position.
- It has an eye on his stomach which can see you when hiding, so be mindful of this and reposition to avoid its gaze
- While it has very hefty hp, it's killable, but not recommended, as its pull attack is unavoidable in most close quarter scenarios.
- Be warned that while it is slow, it also isn't stupid, and will use a fleshy tendril to reach under tables, cabinets, and so on to find players it knows are there.
- Landmines are very effective against it, but is really only worth doing if you have enough to kill it or you just need to buy some time to distract it.
